delete your account

this page explains how to delete your mrigai account and all associated data. mrigai is developed and operated by the mrigai team.

how to request account deletion

please include the following in your email:

• subject line: delete my account
• the email address used to sign in to mrigai (google, apple, or direct email)
• confirmation that you want all your data permanently deleted

we will process your request within 7 business days and email you a confirmation once your account and data have been deleted.

what gets deleted

when you request account deletion, we permanently remove:

• account information: your name, email address, and account id from our authentication provider (clerk)
• selfie photos: all selfie and profile photos you uploaded, from amazon s3
• selfie descriptions: any text descriptions of your appearance generated by google gemini
• try-on images: all ai-generated try-on photos stored on amazon s3
• try-on videos: all ai-generated try-on videos stored on amazon s3
• try-on history: product metadata, store information, and any saved try-on records
• chat messages: your conversations with the ai shopping assistant
• preferences and settings: any app-side configuration tied to your account

what may be retained

some data may be retained temporarily or permanently after account deletion:

• crash logs and diagnostics: anonymized crash reports in sentry are retained for up to 90 days for debugging. these do not contain your name, email, or photos.
• analytics data: pseudonymous usage events in posthog are retained according to posthog's data retention policies. these events are not linked to your name or email address.
• cloudfront cdn cache: cached copies of try-on images served via amazon cloudfront expire automatically and are removed at the end of the cache period.
• google gemini data: data previously sent to google gemini for processing is subject to google's own data retention policies. we do not control how long google retains this data. please refer to google's privacy policy for details.
• legal or compliance records: we may retain records required by law (such as for tax, accounting, or legal dispute resolution) for the period required by applicable regulations.

delete specific data without deleting your account

you can also remove specific data from within the mrigai app without deleting your entire account:

• delete individual try-on results: open the saved tab, long-press any try-on, and tap delete
• delete all try-on history: open the saved tab and tap the delete all option to clear every saved try-on at once
• remove or replace selfie photos: open the profile tab and manage your selfie photos directly

these actions remove the data from our servers but keep your account active.
